Review of the Independent Living Funds

The Review of the Independent Living Funds, by consultants Melanie
Henwood and Bob Hudson, is published today as part of the Government's regular review of Non-Departmental Public Bodies.

The ILF is committed to working closely with DWP and all other stakeholders to consider the recommendations of the report.
 
The ILF has undergone considerable development over the past few years and our success as an organisation has recently been recognised through the achievement of the Government’s Charter Mark for Customer Service Excellence, as well as recently becoming an IIP accredited employer. 

The ILF is already making an important contribution to the  cross-Government activity required to develop personalised budgets and will continue to look closely at how processes and policies can be aligned with those of local authorities.

The priority for the ILF will always be to ensure that the high levels of service provided to our users and applicants are in no way compromised.

We will continue to put the ILF users first as it is recognised that ILF payments make a difference to the lives of thousands of disabled people.
